New Years Eve- Are you in bed or celebrating?

When midnight rolls around, I'll be watching the ball drop on TV. The Spousal Equivalent will be in the bedroom sawing wood. Some years I go in and wake him up for a kiss; some years I let him sleep. Just depends on how romantic I feel. I haven't been to a New Year's party in years because he can't stay up that late.

I always stay up to see the new year in on FaceTime with my daughter, we have a drink, decide to make a positive effort to diet, and wonder what the new year will bring before saying goodnight

I'll be in bed awake until around 1:00 a.m. comforting my little 7-pound Pomeranian who's scared to death of loud noises. Around here the fireworks sound like WWIII starting. It's horrible. I'll be watching TV, too.

When I was much younger I did go out to celebrate. One year I went to a club that was in a hotel with my cousin and somehow we were invited to go up to the room where the crew of an airline (which will remain nameless) had a suite and there a man was streaking with other "interesting" stuff going on.

Reminds me of a song. (Everything reminds me of a song.)

The fireworks have already started in my neighborhood. About 10 tonight, firecrackers were going off down the street. It'll be like that until about January 3rd or whenever the kids go back to school.

I'll be sleeping. My family celebrates New year's Day just like Christmas and always has. I wouldn't have the energy to be up late.

I will be in bed hopefully asleep. My birthday is Dec. 31st at 11:45 pm. I try to stay up til then with a glass of wine. Toast the New Year, sleep a little then get up to cook those black eyed peas and greens!!

In bed sleeping. We quietly snore the old year out and the new year in. I guess it's a tradition now. We'll leave it to the younger generation to carry on the devil may care celebrations.

I will be sleeping.
Never could understand why the New Year is a reason for celebration or a holiday.
They happen every year and not a one of them has ever marked any great event in the world.
I guess it gives inhibited people permission to get hammered once a year.
Nope, Not for me.

I'll be up. I always ring in the New Year. I watch Dick Clark's Rockin New Years Eve every year or most years. Probably will be listening to some music before that comes on.

From the time I can remember, I wanted to be in Times Square on New Years. I saw the NYC crowds on the TV News. So I promised myself I'd be there in 2000. And I was. Yeah!!! 2018? I'm in my warm bed.

I'm glad that you had a chance to experience it!

When I see the people in Times Square all I can think of is frozen feet and where they find a bathroom, I guess when we get older our priorities change LOL!!!

I'll be up -- but then I'm usually up past midnight anyway because I don't sleep well -- and also to keep my Bonnie calm from all the noise of firecrackers and so on going on outside. The 4th of July and New Year's Eve are the two worst nights of the year for dogs.
