Hi there

Just heard about this forum and thought I would come along and see what is happening.

Guess I could have joined fifteen years ago - was it here then?? - but, better late than never.

Right now I am speaking to as many older people as possible as I am involving myself in health, fitness and mindset improvement for older peeps. I have laughably just become a student again - armed with student loan!! - and I am studying to become both a Nutritional Advisor and a Personal Trainer for older people. Should be fun!!

Music is my other passion. As a presenter with Celtic Music Radio in Glasgow, I have a show with my fiancée, Christine, called Sparks and Burns. We enjoy uncovering loads of superb new songwriters and bands, mainly from Scotland. We also play stuff we love from whenever we choose - great fun!!

Look forward to interacting with you guys ;)

PS I love being a "junior" member - doesn't happen much these days!!

Many thanks. Over in Dunoon a few times this year. Took the teenage girls - yeh we still have teenagers!! - over to stay in a cabin at Hunters Bay a while back. They had a ball :)

Small world! You must mean Hunter's Quay. I wonder if you know a friend of mine who is a Scottish folk singer, although she's American (like me) and she lives in Perthshire. She's always at Celtic Connections and I think she performed there once.
 
Welcome from Oregon, USA. Good luck in your academic endeavors. I've found I'm more focused on achieving what I want to achieve at this age than I was earlier in my life. It's easier to cut out the stuff that gets in the way.

Many thanks for all your welcomes - I have a question that I have just realised I may get an answer here - I will start a new thread with it - well two questions actually. Thanks again everyone - great to be here :)
