Just wanted to say hello and looking forward to participating in the forums. I do live in Phoenix so currently am being held hostage by the heat. Can't wait till October :)

Hi Mark, I am also a Newby and live in Sydney Australia where it is mid-winter. The temperature fluctuates a lot here, Tuesday it was 26degrees C and today about 18C but this is typical of Sydney. It can be freezing in mid summer and really hot in mid winter.
 

Hi and welcome from Scotland. Where it was warm for 1 day on Wednesday but now has gone back to normal - thankfully! :welcome:
 
Thanks for the welcomes ! We only have about another month and half of this weather and then everyone will get sick of me saying how great the weather is for the next 8 months :) Toughest part right now is that the lows are usually in the 90's(F) so it really never cools down unless we get relief from an afternoon storm. On the bright side, if that's the only thing I have to complain about then life is great. Have a great Thursday all.

I wish I were in your hometown tonight- my grandson live there, too- Chandler, to be exact, and I don't get to see them nearly as much as I would like.

Welcome Mark. I'm also a newbie from the Phoenix area, but I love the heat because I suffer from a weird circulation disorder (Raynauds) that's triggered by cold air. I do my complaining in December and January when doing something as normal as opening a refrigerator turns my fingers into icicles.
 
Sorry to hear that BaseballGal. I can see why you do enjoy the summertime then. I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather and not afraid to admit it. Don't mind visiting cold weather places but only for a short time !
