Nice Christmas surprise.

Yesterday the doorbell rang at 9 am. I answered the door and it was Mike. He’s a neighbor I have become acquainted with because we both walk our dogs in the morning. When we see each other we often chat for a few minutes. He brought me a mini zucchini bread and some candy made by his wife. So sweet!! I asked if I could hug his neck. Because Covid. He said yes. I gave him my best hug! I miss the hugging. I really miss the hugging.

I miss seeing people smile, when I'm out. And, even though I know they can't see me do it, I still smile at people as I pass by. Maybe they can tell by my eyes that I'm smiling.

That was so nice! People need to realize that even small gestures can brighten up another person's day.
