Congratulations! So nice that you are enjoying your retirement. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. Cute pet name. You say Oklahoma takes getting used to. Where did you move from and how long have you been in OK?

Welcome to Group.jpg

Thanks for joining us. It sounds like you recently moved to Oklahoma, and are adapting to life there. It's interesting how just moving from one state to another in the U.S. can be so different, but perhaps that just gives us a broader perspective of life and ways to live. At any rate, welcome, and we look forward to your valued input.

Yea, mid stride...going strong...sound motivated...ready for what's next...interested in the world...all sounds interesting. :)
Lack of other options:) It was a learning curve when I first came to the US. Our goal was to have enough for us and some to share. Have a life together but not be joined at the hip. There is a world out there so explore it. If you fall on your face try not to break your nose.

Oklahoma was a spontaneous decision about seven years ago. In the US - Washington DC, Tacoma WA, Birmingham AL, Columbus GA, Fort Worth TX and a couple of short pit stops.

Ha ha. So over a dinner cocktail, you said something like: "Hey, how about we just retire to Oklahoma?". Then within the hour, there you were packing up. Now that's adventurous.
Just kidding. I'm glad it has worked out.

Welcome to the forum. We were traveling and stopped at a cafe in Oklahoma and it was the best breakfast I have ever had. I can't remember the town or cafe name but it was on the way to Texas, near the border of Texas.

Well, it took two weeks from idea to some remodelling and moving in and another two weeks to sell the place in Texas. SO's employer courted him. That made it easy.
