No Appetite

Nope, but I hope it hits soon!

I usually eat less when the weather improves and temperatures begin to rise.

Nothing has any appeal. I can taste & smell. Nothing is bad. I’m just sick of everything, including things I used to love.

I strongly suspect this is Covid boredom.

Anyone else going through this?
Yep I agree, Cabin fever... bored of the same old, same old... you need to find something to do somehow, then you'll get your appetite back

I've been going through that for a couple years now -- especially regarding fried foods. And then, trying to decide what to eat, it's like, I'm sick of that. At this age, there's little novelty in meals any more.

Meh, that's not really true. My wife makes some great dishes. It's just when I cook that I don't like it. :ROFLMAO:

No, in fact I'm constantly hungry - and constantly eating. Not what I want, of course, due to diabetes. Dr. says "Thyroid is normal." Yeah.....sure.
There is only one time I'm not interested in food - when I have fever, which is rare. 20 years ago, I had a UTI & a temp of 102-103. I walked into the kitchen, opened the fridge & everything I looked at made me say, "YUK."

Yes, I haven't had much appetite for several months now. I rarely feel hungry, and when I do, nothing seems appealing so I just have tea and maybe a bagel. I doubt it has anything to do with social restrictions of COVID because that's had very minimal impact on my life; I pretty much do what I've been doing for the past several years. My guess is it has something to do with age, but exactly what, idk. Hormonal changes, maybe?

I cook different types of food in the summer and winter. Winter is more soups and stuff in the oven, and summer is more grilled foods and cold foods. By this time of the year, I am bored with the winter foods and want to start grilling. This year, I feel more bored than ever, which is due to Covid.

My husband wants his three meals a day (and he does cook quite a bit so I don't do all the cooking) but if I lived alone, I probably wouldn't eat regular meals. He used to travel for work and it was hard for me to find something I wanted to cook or eat. A lot of times, I would just want a bagel or toast.

I eat cereal and toast for breakfast and nothing until after 3 PM. BY then, I'm so hungry I inhale my food. I do notice if I avoid sugary stuff my appetite drops off.
