No birds, no insects,

either way it's a little creepy. they're part of the eco system right?

Jules recommended Italk to the Dept of Agriculture. I did. They don't know why this is happening.
I also called the air quality bureau. They said Everyone would be alerted if there was anything wrong with the air.
They said "Maybe radioactivity?" but They are baffled, as am I!

Gaer, were these agencies aware of it too? If so, the public should be informed, even if it’s just to track where this is happening.

If they are this will be GIS mapped and that’s one map I’d sure like to see.

“Maybe radioactivity.” Wow.

I don't believe they're as baffled as you are (at all).

I believe all questionable things related to such have answers, just that we aren't worthy enough to be privy to such answers.

The old adage... "what we don't know won't hurt us", is alive and well.

No, but theysaid they would check it out and maybe start tracking it. That's all.

Ha hahaha! What do you mean I'm not worthy to be privy to this? hahaha!

Just noticed my information was stale, removed the post.

However you might consider leaving a light on outside at night to see if you can see any insects flying around the light.

Gaer, did you happen to notice anything out of the ordinary (as to their looks) when they informed you that they would "check it out and maybe start tracking it"?

Like tongue firmly planted in cheek or a longer (than normal) nose? 😋 🤥

Or after you explained the situation to them did they respond like this? :ROFLMAO:

If so, that means you're in good hands. 👍 :giggle:

1. No, No insects flying around my yellow night light. There arn't even gnats or no-see-ums.
2. No, They seemed to be concerned and didn't think my questions were foolish at all.
They did tell me as of now, there are no dangerous CHEMICALS in the air.
No Marg, They took me quite seriously! There is something WRONG!

You might try putting out a white light if you have one. The yellow lights are used to avoid attracting insects. However it is odd that you don't have anything around the yellow one as well.

I'm surprised, Gaer, but happy to hear it.

How far are you from Roswell and Area 51? It's the only other possibility. What isn't the government telling you? 👽

@Gaer do you have other wildlife yet like small animals like rabbits and things like that...or deer or any of the usual critters or are they gone too?

Hour away from Roswell. and yes, a lot of "activity" in this interest, according to people around here.
and, a lot of "interesting, top secret stuff" going on in the White Sands range,on the other sideof me.

You know what? I'm going to let this go and just enjoy the disappearance of the lower life forms.
It's eerie but nice not having any insects!

No, As I said, my yard is usually filled with white tailed deer but they are gone, as are skunks, road-runners.
As I wrote to Chet, I'm not going to worry about it anymore! Whatever happens, happens!
Perhaps it will be back to normal in the Summer!
