No Card? No Service!

My daughter complains that she can’t get bananas, in Texas, and she wants to bake banana bread. We have plenty of bananas in Utah, but can’t get flour. LOL, I don’t care. I don’t like bananas and I don‘t bake.
We have bananas...

I didn't know that Mike...well I've been having the banana go all brown and mushy inside when I've only had them a couple of days and that's been happening for weeks, and I just thought the stores were holding onto them in cold storage until just before they're ripe.... I haven't read anything in the media about it , have you ?
Hi hollydolly, this information was broadcast last summer
something to do with the Victorians, they crossbred bananas
till they got one that hey liked and all the growers went for
that model with no backup of another variety, so the main one
that everybody grows has been infected and so far it is just the
large ones.

Even green ones can be black inside, sometimes when I am having
banana with cearials, I have thrown away more than one.

Sorry you didn't know.

Mike.

I'm fortunate I have both, but this is really beginning to sound like the last war now with all the different shortages of food..

interesting Mike...although I usually don't buy very big ones, because it's only me that eat them, but I've been finding this in the medium size ones for a good long time now, and like you , peeling back one after the other to use and having to dump the lot... . Wonder what's caused this to happen after all this time of being perfectly acceptable... ..and does it mean that if we buy bananas in Spain they'll be absolutely fine :D

In New Mexico where I live, grocery stores are still out of a multitude of items, and if anything, it seems to be getting worse. The stores are now imposing limits on how many of anything you can buy. I can't find distilled water for my sister's bi-pap machine anywhere.

Oh good lord, is there no medical suppliers who have that?... this is one of the many things most of us wouldn't even realise might be in short supply..and do you know why it is scarce? I sincerely hope you find some soon...

We noticed the first day shopping that distilled water was being hoarded since there were only 3 bottles in the store and we bought those. Husband is on c-pap machine, I’m on nighttime oxygen, and son on c-pap. It’s like TP.

When you find some buy as many as you are allowed. It is limited to one per family here. Hope you find some soon.
