I found this on YouTube. I love bread but hate the kneading, so I decided to try the above recipe. You just mix it, cover with plastic wrap, proof for 8-12 hours and make. Today I made the American Baguettes and they were delicious (and pretty). The only thing I hate is that I always gain weight when I eat bread. Oh, well!

I have seen the no-knead breads on TV. This one by Steve is great. Another, using a hot Dutch-oven is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0t8ZAhb8lQ

I've only made one type...it was called English Muffin Bread from America's Test Kitchens and tastes just like them! You do need to toast the slices to get the flavor.

I share that love of bread so it's dangerous for me to have delicious bread like that in the house.

I HAVE noticed that when I eat bread I start gaining weight and without it in the house I slowly start losing that weight. But, darn, life is so short and I REALLY love bread. Sigh!

Nice to know I'm not the only one who loves fresh bread...warm from the oven, lots of butter, cheddar, and a tomato....I could live on that!

Interesting video - I'm gonna try that recipe. Seems easy enough. Thanks for posting!

I think it's great and for some reason I've always liked that long and skinny shape for breads. LOL I didn't have an egg, so brushed them with olive oil, the egg will make it more colorful. I saw another video where the cook slashed it down the middle, she claims it makes the baguette keep a more uniform shape, and you can see in the pic that they're better looking slashed down the middle. Hope you like it, mine was soft inside but with a crunchy crust.
