No More Petrol or Diesel cars 10 years from now..

We could wait to for the technology of electrical cars to catch up with fossil fuel cars. Johnson's call may just be a rhetorical goal. But without it, there will always be a "tomorrow". Yes, there are problems to overcome, but you need a starting point. We could wallow for decades while we work out every detail, ON PAPER. As we work to the decade goal, what we have at the end of ten years brings us closer to our goal.

As a practical matter, though, I don't think electric cars will replace gas/diesel ones until the cost comes down to where the average person can actually afford them.

There was the man who removed the gasoline(petrol) engine from his car and replaced it with an electric motor. The problem that he had was that after he crossed the railroad tracks the wheels of passing trains would sever his extension cord.
