No sleep tonight for me......

The granddaughter is in labor. Of course, the poor girl's been in labor three times this week already, so........ They went to the hospital tonight and they sent her back home. She is NOT a happy camper. She's in pain and she wants DRUGS and she wants a SPEEDY RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! It's a good thing Daddy-to-Be is good natured, because I expect he's taking some major flak tonight. Of course, I don't think he's seen ANYTHING yet.

I wish I could be there for her (she was literally born "into my hands"), but her mom's on the way up there and it's really their moment, not mine. I'll be going up to help after all the other visitors have left.

Thank goodness, she finished all her lessons plans for her substitute today. She taught all week because she said if she was going to be miserable, she at least wanted to get PAID for it - lol.

Prayers appreciated.

<<<hugs and purrs>>> Oh my goodness...for you and for her. I take it this is the first for her, absolutely no fun for all involved. Best wishes go out to you and maybe a morning phone call " It's a healthy...". Love to ya darlin'

I remember holding my tongue out to dinner with son and daughter in law a few months before the blessed birth. Her girlfriends said she was strong, no medications. The hospital sometimes says no food or drink in labor. I whispered to my son " Epidurals are really nice and pack her favorite drink in every bag you have". Yep Mami was right...

Hope she has a happy and healthy bundle of joy soon, and this is quickly a mere memory....thoughts are with you all.

Baby is here. I can't post a picture because the parents prefer no pics on the internet....have to honor their wishes. She's adorable....looks like a cute little old lady. It'll be interesting to see what she looks like in a few days; they change so much during that time.
