I bought some at Walmart and they're already coming lose.
Does anyone have a recommendation. Something that stays put so I can, lol.

Thanks :giggle:

Welcome to SF.

The only thing I trust is a long bathtub mat with suction cups the full length of the tub.
I've tried those stick on applications. Even when they hold, they aren't enough to count on for not slipping.
That’s what I use Bonnie

Thanks for your replies. I had a mat, constantly moved around.
Just a minute ago hubby told me he ordered some from ebay. Hope they work.
Thanks again!

I think now I will look around the forum a bit and finish up my profile and stuff.

I also use a tub mat. But, after every few uses, the suction cups won't stick because mold develops under them because they never dry completely. The mold is very slippery. When that happens, I take the mat outside & clean the underside with bleach & also clean the tub. It's also a good idea to keep your weight directly over the mat when getting in & out of the tub & not stepping in at an angle. Most tub mats won't work if the tub has a textured surface.
I'm having my tub/shower converted to shower only so the step will be very low. Much safer than having to step over the edge of a tub.

Yes, good point ... I clean often under the mat, and also the tub with Clorox. ... Sunshine and Bleach do wonders. :)

I almost broke my neck because of one of those slippery (no) suction bath mats. I hate them.

The no-slip strips work far better, but you need to carefully brush a little super glue on them before applying to the BONE DRY tub floor. After that, give it a half-day before you use the tub.

Go to Bed Bath &Beyond and buy one of their thick clear bath mats but I will worn you they stink of sulphur for a number of weeks. I have tried many things to kill the smell but no good. But they stick like glue and last forever. I remove mine after every shower and the suctions cups sound like gun fire when you pull it up off the tub surface. Can't recall the exact product name. They are rolled up in a roll and not in boxes. I have never had to wash the mats because nothing sticks to them.

I use a standard suction cup tub mat. Pull it off after every use (love fmdog44's description of the sound, LOL!), shake it a bit, and drape it over the tub rim. Dries in a couple of hours. I NEVER have to clean it of mold - works great!

I used a standard bathtub mat. Every week or two I'll put it in the washing machine with sheets or towels that I bleach. Don't run it through the dryer!! Before I replace the mat I make sure the bottom of the tub and the bottom of the mat are wet. That allows a better suction so the mat doesn't slip out from under you. Putting it on a dry surface then running water into the tub will cause the air under the mat to raise it enough so it can slip easily. Using a wet mat on a wet tub will help remove those air pockets. And watch out for the shampoo and hair conditioner you use. As well as body wash. They will cause a slippery tub and mat.
