No snail mail in 2 weeks

.

I have a PO Box in addition to home delivery
and hardly get any snail mail at either.

But as they say... "no news is good news."

.

Deb, like others have said, you should at least be getting a few pieces of junk mail. Mailing an envelope to yourself was an excellent suggestion, I hope you've done that. That way you can see if it gets delivered to you, if not, there's a real problem. I would be very concerned if I were you.

Check with the Post Office that your mail box is still live,
if not, then where is all the missing mail?

Try and speak to the manager, not a clerk who thinks he
is too busy to go and find out.

Mike.

If you have a p.o. box,is your fees up to date?

There are no fees for my PO box, but I do get a notice once a year to fill out a form to keep my records current (and probably check to see if I'm the actual person still at that address).

This is from Wikipedia:
Certain customers qualify for free box rental, usually because the Postal Service doesn't offer carrier-route delivery to their physical addresses

I wish my snail mail would go on vacation. It's primary election season. Whole forests have been chopped down for all the glossy campaign literature. Today, I had about 8 items in the mail, maybe more. Every single one was campaign advertising.

I'm with you, Sunny. My mail box lately is crammed with stuff like that. Does anybody read that stuff? I sure don't.

Deb, I think you are just going to have to go over there and stand there until you get to see someone in charge.

It may be a while. Usually when I ask to speak to the person in charge, I get: "He/she is at a meeting." "He/she just stepped out." (and no idea when will be back), or "He/she just started a 3 week vacation."

Sign up for Informed Delivery and you will get an email that tells you what first class mail is being delivered each day.

I started using it after terry123 mentioned it and it has been very helpful.

How long does it take before you start getting email? I signed up last week and received mail today but I didn't get an email about it. I logged into my account on the Post Office web site and saw what mail was delivered here. Does it just take a while to get it started with the emails?

It only took about a week when I signed up but I did waste a week or two because I did not sign up properly. I didn't realize that I had made a mistake until I went back and did some checking.

Good luck!

I was hoping you would say this. I will just have to wait and be patient. I went back and checked after I made this post and it was just Sunday when I signed up so it hasn't really had time. Thank you for everything and I will start waiting patiently!

Faith and begorrah....my mailbox was packed this morning. It's like I received 3 weeks of mail all at once. Unfortunately there were 3 doctor's bills.

Glad to know you finally got your mail,I hope this doesn't happen to you again Sue
