No time for childhood left?

Not only there Gael but here also. Not much time to just be kids. And I don't give a $**t what the reasons are.

There's too much promoting of the parents' agendas (Trying to look better to the public.) and the poor kids suffer.

Yep kids don't have time to have any fun nowdays.

I think it's too often the parents living vicarioulsy through their children. The child beauty pagents illustrate that too clearly. And the sports arena where parents almost bully their children into winning so they look good and can bask in reflected glory.

They're too busy with their time consumed by what their parents have relegated them to do. Either that or the other direction with parents being so uninvolved that they let them roam without supervision.

A middle ground is needed.
 
In the UK they are now talking of exams for four year olds when they first start school, crazy or what?
 
Lets not forget BOTH parents are working nowadays to support their kids after school activities.

Most kids today do not have the parental guidance that most of us had.
Some kids today only have 1 parent to do it all.
We all need to get back to the basics of raising kids with 2 parents but we all know thats never going to happen again.

More realstically is to help single parents learn how to give their kids the time they need. Easier said then done.
