No Warnings Required For Covid Vaccine Ads

Some warnings are mentioned for other vaccines, like the Shingles vaccine.
But every drug ad is required to mention possible negative side effects regardless of how "uncommon" they are.
Even the ad for "Cologuard" (which is non invasive) is required to state "Both false positives and false negatives may occur.
I think if they wanted people to make an informed decision about the Covid vaccine, they would include warnings.

That's a new one to me, Win. I don't have cable and wasn't aware that the vaccine manufacturers were running advertisements for their Covid vaccines. If they are, one would think their lawyers would insist they run the normal disclaimers as they do for other products.

I think those warnings are ridiculous for any medication. They say a few words about how good their product is, and then it's followed by a very long list of possible side effects, which if taken seriously would be enough to scare anybody off. Those ads are obviously being overseen by the lawyers, not the doctors.

A doctor once told me that if ONE patient has a side effect, it has to be added to the list.

Haven't been able to sue big pharma for adverse vax side effects since the Reagan years. Big pharma also wanted that stipulation nenewed like a wedding vow with the covid vaxxes.

Also a lot of these ads aren't presented by someone from big pharma or big medicine so even in court who made the claim that vaxxes are safe and effective. An paid actor reading a script?

I don't have cable either. The ads are on regular antenna TV.

Gee, I wonder why a doctor wouldn't like such warnings?

He had no ulterior motives. He had already been retired for several years, and we were discussing a medication I was taking. (He was not my doctor; he was a friend who happened to be a doctor.)

You don't know how lucky you are. In the US, almost every other ad on TV is for a prescription drug.
Which indicates how stupid they think we are.
The ads always say "Talk to your doctor about"__________(this drug).
You're a patient, he's a doctor with several years of education. Wouldn't he know what drugs you need without you coaching him?

The next time a drug ad comes on TV, close your eyes and listen only to the audio.
How does it sound when you don't see those good looking happy people, enjoying successful lives and having good time with friends and relatives in beautiful places?

If they were listing all the side effects I'd assume I was listening to a horror movie.
