Noises when getting into bed???

I don't have a problem with night noises when trying to sleep because I take my hearing aids out when ready for bed then I only hear really loud noises.

Why is it that when I get in bed to go to sleep; there's all these noises in the house? I've been in the house all day, and no noises. But as soon as I hop in bed, there's creacking, poping- all kinds of noises. . It sounds like every crook in the state is trying to break in. My stomach makes a lot of noises. But I don't mess with it, if it gets hungry, it'll keep me awake.
I often fart.

During the heat of day your house expands, in the evening as it cools down everything condenses or shrinks. So all that expansion and contraction makes for a noisy home!

Or ghost, could be ghost.
Agree, plus during the day there are a lot of other noises distracting us like people or dogs outside, radio, television noises we make cooking or cleaning, etc. At night all is quiet, everything off, I always hear some noises of my house.

During the day there is a lot of other noises outside and maybe inside. Maybe you have the tv or radio on. At night there is less noise so other sounds can be heard that can’t be heard during the day.

C50 is right. Building materials shrink and expand depending on the weather/ temperature etc which can especially be heard in the still of night.

Mice, squirrels, chipmunks etc., are looking for permanent homes this time of year. It’s usually colder outside in winter and at night in most places.

Yeah, but it has nothing to do with the sounds the house makes. It's all me.😆
