North Carolina HOA demands family remove cross from yard, explain connection with Christmas

Well you know how it is? God forbid someone might offend another homeowner. I'm certain I'd take offense if my neighbor put up the star of satan (pentagram) in their yard.
 

My ex lives in an HAO community. They have what i call is the "old bitty" squad. They drive around the place looking for "infractions". Then they post yellow stickums on your door. You were allowed either two cats or one small dog. My ex had to two cats. I came home and there was yellow note on the door. Apparently one of the cats was seen actually looking out the window. Horrors, what evil lurks!! Now, if you get enough postits, you get fined. I was so angry that I was going down the center and knock heads. My ex stopped me-thank goodness. But if that's where you want to live, then don't bitch when their arbitrary rules go against you. You're the one, who moved there.
