Nose and face metal piercing

True but I think these girls are pretty or attractive enough as they are. IMO. Though it may be a sign of their sexuality. It's not right or wrong

Did you ever have any close calls ?

I ask as those bulls are not to be messed with .
We had 3 bulls. One was an Angus that was downright mean. I named him “Satan” and took my wood burning kit and made a plaque with his name on it and mounted the plaque above his stall. The other 2 bulls were Holsteins that were raised for meat. After they were butchered, the owner or our boss, Randy would go to auction and buy 2 bulls to replace the ones that were butchered.

I had to take Satan out to the grazing area and I put the rope that had a clip on the end of it on the bull’s nose ring and the other end I would lead him out by holding the other end of the rope. We did good until I got him inside the gated area and then he gave me a strange look and started coming at me. I dropped the rope and ran out and locked the gate. One of the other hands went in and took the rope off of his nose. After that, I used the small tractor to lead him out.

Depending on the breed, some are more aggressive than others. Holsteins are more protective over the Heifers and cows. Angus bulls can be mean and shouldn’t be trusted. We had a small herd of Guernseys that were used only for show. We kept their milk separate because it brought a higher price due to the high content of butterfat.

I would buy the milk from the farmer because my mom liked Golden Guernsey milk. My mom used to say the milk was sweeter and better for baking. These are some of the things I learned working on the farm for almost 4 years.

Dr. Pol, I watched his show a few times, but after awhile, it seemed like the shows were becoming repetitive. The old man definitely knows his stuff and still uses some of the old time methods of doing things. He is pretty well known across the country.

In our family only my youngest (son) and I do not I have tattoos, however, I have daith piercings in my ears. My husband had full sleeve tattoos when I met him and middle son and eldest daughter have them as well as piercings.

I have never been moved to get a tattoo, but am happy for my peeps in having what they want for their bodies.

Those piercings creep me out. Do they take the ones out of their nose every time they have to blow? I've seen lip piercings...how comfortable is it to eat with those things? My grand niece had a couple of piercings (face area) when she came to my sister's house for dinner once. It was hard for me to look at her.

I'm actually taking a Cultural Anthropology class at the local Community College this semester. Anthropologists looking into other cultures are just supposed to understand and document, not judge. Today's society, those new in last 25 years, is far different. The Anthropologist in the jungle or desert can walk away. Since our tattooed and pierced young people intermingle with us old folk, can be family as has been said, it's hard to ignore.

I enjoyed that and similar classes when I was in collage. Cultural Antro, Phsyical Anthro, all the Sociology and Psychology classes. But I ended up changing my major to Business, because I realized that unless I at least had a Masters degree, I'd be changing bedpans in some psych ward with just a Bachelors. shrug.gif

The first time I saw face tattoos was in 2017 while working at the prison . Just one inmate who was a bit weird and not socially accepted by the others. Now people with face tattoos are doing TV commercials.
I have seen a lot of prisoners with tats on. I never knew that some of the markings were meant to tell other inmates that he was a member of a gang. I remember some prisoners with the teardrop under the eye and some had a cross on the back of their neck. One fellow had tats all over his face, neck and down both arms.

First thing that popped out at me in the opening post was "young women". It's no longer just young women, I see many women that get face piercings later in life. Trying to recapture their youth or trying to look young and hip I guess. It seems fairly common with younger men also.

I'm not bothered by a small stud or even a ring in the side of the nose, but don't like rings hanging from the center of the nose. Piercings on the rest of the face I find very unattractive. I once saw a goth looking young man at a store with a giant safety pin thru both upper and lower lips, that was just insane to me.

I remember when those enormous ‘door knocker’ earrings became very popular and thinking what’s next? I never expected nose rings!IMG_0277.jpeg

You wouldn’t believe how prisoners make ink for their tattoos. If you really want to know, check it out on YouTube or here:
