Not a conspiracy theorist, however..

Well, you could say the same about oxygen. :)

It's a marvel for sure. Earth is such a complex little thing.
Indeed it is.

What keeps the world spinning, but not too fast and not too slow?
Many mysteries to be sure.

But yet, not so much gravity that the water vapor cannot ascend upward to form clouds, which move around the earth at just the right height to supply life giving water.
Nature always moves towards equilibrium and tries to maintain balance. Man should take a lesson from nature.

Scholars disagree with you. There is simply no evidence that Paul "knew Jesus". He heard some of what Jesus said, but there's no indication or evidence he met Jesus, or attended a meeting with him.
He was struck blind by the presence of Christ upon him. From being a murderer of Christians he became a Christian. His whole outlook was transformed. I believe it totally because Christ changes and heals people still. It is a matter of faith and of the spirit.
It is ok, we each have the choice of believing or not. This we must respect.

I completely believe the account of Saul's conversion to Paul! It happened to me in a more modest form. I turned from being an agnostic (bordering on atheist) to being a Christian in the space of half an hour or so! Because the same Christ touched my heart and made me aware of a glorious other, spiritual, reality that I had been blind to!

Amen. Similar happened to me and I shall always have the comfort of it.

And to me, when I was about 20. After questioning and searching, fasting and praying, finally giving up and letting go, a peace came over me and a light began to show. The light seemed to have no definable source; it was inside me and all around me, seeming to emanate from everything, and I had a great sense of peace, love, wonder and amazement, and a feeling of oneness with everything. It felt like I had been born again and was seeing the world for the first time, as if I had been blind and had suddenly had my sight restored.

The sensation slowly faded over a period of several months as I was gradually drawn back into the workaday world. It was an experience I will never forget, and I am eternally grateful for it.

Especially since someone had accused me of being pro Hamas and our moderator shut me down, despite my pleas to show me one single post where I was pro Hamas. I asked him three times and he got aggravated and sent me packing! In any case, this was especially hurtful since I had preached love all of my life and would never support such an evil act! 🙄

I don't believe you're pro-Hamas. I did want to say, so what if you were? If we're in an environment where an opinion can get you banned because it runs against the grain, then it's a sad indictment of the forum. You simply create echo chambers where you can never find the truth, or the complete story, because it's rigged from the outset. What are people afraid of learning?

Again, I don't believe you are pro-Hamas.

I totally respect your opinion. As a non-believer "he was struck blind by the presence of Christ upon him", sounds..... well, strange. Scholars say Paul did not know Jesus before his crucifixion.

Either way, there are people far more scholarly than I who would be better arguing the point. I don't mean to question your faith. I've never had a message from God, so perhaps he's given up on me. :D

I am a new member here so I am still learning how things work and I don't expect my opinions to carry much weight. However, I would like to offer that when I came here and began browsing through the threads this is the one thread which most piqued my interest in the forum because it was addressing deeply held beliefs and people were sharing their opinions on the matter respectfully and without judgement or malice. I found this to be refreshing and encouraging, and a reason to stick around and try to participate. I hope that this thread will be allowed to stand in spite of its abbreviated title, that it may stimulate more thoughtful conversation within the group.

What a nice post...very nice

Here's another thread that contains much the same

God has a plan. An observation and a question.

Each person is precious to Jesus, he wouldn't reject you.

Paul met Jesus in spirit not body, as we all do. He realised Jesus is real, as we all do who go to him in faith. The body is nothing, the soul is everything.

I only have my own faith and I draw from it.

Thanks for the interest, Pepper. It was originally a depiction of Kokopelli venerated by the Hopi and Anasazi tribes. Commonly represented as playing a flute, since I play the drums I modified the image to add drumsticks and musical notes to make it more personal to me. It has been my avatar for many years.
