Not ready for a pedi!

So my daughter is going to get a pedicure today. Asked me to go along. Don't think I'm quite ready for that. I will be interested to hear how the social distancing thing works. I have always felt that the salons I've gone to have been clean. And the technicians often wore masks, even before Covid. My daughter be wearing a mask, or that's what she says. I always enjoyed my pedicures, but sitting for an hour with that mask on? After a trip to the grocery store, I can't wait to get outside and rip that sucker off. So I think my toes can wait. I will be interested to hear her report.

Pedicures are my guilty pleasure. ✨

I don't get them at all in the winter, but I indulge myself every summer, once a month or so. I do it both for aesthetic reasons because I wear sandals and flip flops 90% of the time in the summer so I want my feet to look nice, but also becuase I find them very relaxing and therapeutic!

Typically at this point in the year I'd have gotten one or two, but even if I'd been willing to risk it, none of the salons were open till last week. I'd be more inclined to get a pedi than a manicure if I were going to venture back into a salon, for several reasons. One is that the technician is much farther away from my face with a pedicure, and the pedicure chairs are placed further apart than the manicure tables are so there's at least a bit more distancing between customers.

I wonder if the nail salons are going to do what my hair salon gal is doing...limit the in-store customers to one at a time? That is probably unrealistic. But perhaps operate at 50% capacity? That way only every OTHER chair or table will be occupied, meaning that there'd be a greater distance between customers.

When I'm really to venture into a nail salon again (IF I AM!) I'll have to see what my salon is doing. If I'm not satisfied with their protocol, I'll have to change salons.

I've never gone to a salon for my toes. I do mine at home and it's going to stay that way unless I win the lottery..and I don't play it but once in a blue moon so... :ROFLMAO:

I hope your daughter has an enjoyable experience and stays safe, too!
