Now I Left a Case of Bubbly Soda in the Shopping Cart.

Well….
A couple of years ago I bought a brand new pair of glasses, they were $240.

I went to Walmart with my grandson looking at toys. I wasn’t used to my glasses so when he handed me something to read I put my glasses on the shelf beside the toys.
I turned and walked away.

I didn’t realize that I had left my glasses until the next day. I went back to the store several times, my glasses never showed up.

In a case like this of me being or doing something stupid or something stupid being done to me I have a saying that I say either out loud or quietly to myself

“oh well, such is life”

And then I just let it go, I forgive myself, I try not to think about it anymore.

I just let it go.

O and once I left my wallet on the counter at the donut shop and the next person (nice young man) came running out to my car to give me my wallet 😊

When I was working, I usually was up around 5:30 AM. Evening naps were common. I was at our lake home, evidently took my glasses off and lay them on the coffee table. Somehow they fell to the floor and when I woke up from the nap probably 9:30 pm or so I stepped on them thus having to glue the lenses back into the frame with super glue. I still have them. Occasionally wear them when I'm at the office puters. Best dang pair I ever owned.

I once left a 12 pack of beer in a shopping cart, the bagger had put it in the rack below at the bottom, I didn't see it... 😑
That happened to me once, realized it on the way home, turned around and went back, there it was, still in the cart, in the cart storage area.

When we lived in AZ, I was at Walmart returning something and I was standing in line with a women that was in a panic. She told the gal at the return that she left her purse in her cart on the top where kids sit and wanted to know if anyone turned it in. They had her describe it and asked her if her wallet was in it and she said yes. They asked for her name, address, etc. and, yes, someone had turned it in. When they gave it to her, she said she didn't really care about her wallet.....she had her gun in her purse and didn't want to lose it. We all have our priorities :)

I only have a cheap pair of reading glasses in my purse because I have lost glasses while using them to read prices. I leave my prescription readers at home.
