[h=1]Running more than FOUR miles a day could damage your health - especially if you've had a heart attack[/h]

It's all about common sense. I walked 5 miles this morning(no heart problems) and it felt great. But I saw an over weight older guy running and he was struggling like hell climbing a hill. Looked like a heart attack waiting to happen.

REALLY?? Like I have posted here before, I run two miles per day twice a week and walk the same two miles three days a week. I use to run two miles per day five days per week, until I was diagnosed with anemia and the doctor told me not to run so much. This past Monday, I walked fourteen miles on a bet by my son that I couldn't do it. Let see, I almost was run-over by cars and trucks, (I actually think some of them were aiming for me), I ran out of water and was so thirsty that I was ready to drink creek water, my feel hurt like H__L on the way back because I didn't have proper shoes on and I was so tired that I had to take a 15-minute nap on return. I told my wife, "Never again."

The good news is that my son owes me $5.00 and I lost four pounds, which was probably mostly water weight. Was it worth it? Yes and no. I am a little OCD about my weight. I don't care how big or small other people are. That's there business. When I was 48 years old, I went to 208 ponds, which was about 30 pounds over-weight for me. I dieted and lost it all and then some and since then, I have been very careful not to gain more than a few pounds, which I can lose easily.

Didn't the guy who invented jogging die of a heart attack?
