Ha ha, exactly, @Marcy Sheiner! My daughters and I were like "Umm. . . that's the point!" Some people here have literally never traveled beyond the state's borders (which is sad). This person must have been one them.

My favorite museum in NYC is 'The Metropolitan Museum of Art' in Central Park, 5th Ave and 82nd St.

I always liked the Museum Mile along 5th Avenue beside Central Park. If you like art it includes the Met and the Modern (between 5th and 6th) and others but involves walking.

My kids and I love NY pizza! We used to have it shipped, flash-frozen, out to us. Now I have only a regular freezer that will not hold the quantity of pizza one needs to order.

A NYC native moved here a few years ago and opened a NYC-style pizza restaurant. YUM! Someone in a local review complained and said the crust was too thin.

I agree about the pizza. I’ve never had pizza better than New York pizza! I love NY and have been there many times. I’m just a short train ride away in Baltimore.

If you get a chance (and you want to cry....) go to the church that was the "headquarters" for the firefighters during the fall of the Twin Towers. It's a museum now and I guarantee you, you will leave speechless.

The day we were there (about 18 years ago), there had been a fire burning in a nearby warehouse for a few days and it was very smoky. Police were out on the street handing out facemasks. I was talking to a lady who was a worker at the museum and she said that the smoke was bringing her some serious emotional trauma. I can imagine that any smell of smoke would be traumatic to anyone who was there on 9/11.
