He should sue the slumlords because you just shouldn't be about to discard someone's property. Additionally, the condition of the apt looked rundown. Those early 20th century buildings in NYC should be torn down and modern infrastructure rebuilt. I bet renters pay way too much for downright decrepit accommodations.
Corcoran's words were the most insulting of all...
"
Given how badly Mr. Nagaoka's health had deteriorated, the state of his apartment had become a clear health hazard to the rest of the residents of the building".
Living by Corcoran's words, I think it's safe to say that the next time you hire a contractor to fix something in your home, expect your belongings to be throw out, because based on her words, in New York when your home needs fixing, apparently law is to clean out your home first, then ask questions later.
The other issue I have with all of this is, where was Corcoran and Alex Rodriguez, when it came to fixing Mr. Nagaoka's apartment up for him, prior to him falling ill with Covid, if his apartment had become such a "health hazard". Surely the damage noted in the video didn't happen all by itself while Mr. Nagaoka, was in the hospital for 2 months.
SCUMLORDS (and liars) they are! They were already rubbing their hands together in anticipation of Mr. Nagaoka, not pulling through, so they could re-rent the apartment out (as is) for an even higher dollar amount! What a sick world we live in!
Would love to see a a Go-Fund Me account started for Mr. Nagaoka, to allow him to move forward with suing Corcoran and Rodriguez.
