Obscure Actors that we rememeber from our childhood

Of course the totally obscure actors would not be on any list because they are unknown. Not even on the internet. Especially on the earliest movies.

Miss Diva-- You've never seen The Godfather?..Lettieri played Sollozzo, who ganged up on Luca Brasi to send him to the fishes; the mobster who was negotiating with Michael Corleone in the restaurant when Michael kills him and Capt. McCluskey.

If you haven't seen The Getaway (1972), with Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw, I'd recommend it. Lettieri plays the hit man hired to get McQueen's character. He's pretty chilling.
Was never interested in seeing The Godfather. At some point, I became disinterested in films of that genre, as well as ones about prisons and wars. Maybe someday, my tastes will flip again (as has happened periodically over the years) and I'll be interested in those genres again. Exception is my son wanted me to watch his favorite movie, The Shawshank Redemption with him a few years ago. I did and found it okay, but wouldn't want to see it again. I liked Steve McQueen (Ali too) but I've got so many shows and movies on my "TV plate" right now, I don't know when I'd be able to get to it.

Oh yeah! Lugosi was fantastic. He was phenomenal as Count Dracula, but he let himself get pigeon holed into that character until it was turned into a joke. I believe he was a fine stage actor back in Hungary before he emigrated to the States. It also didn't help that he got into heroin and booze..:( But the man was a fine actor with a commanding presence.

Who are the original East Side kids?
When film producer Samuel Goldwyn made a film out of the play, he recruited the original kids from the play: Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Bobby Jordan, Gabriel Dell, Billy Halop, and Bernard Punsly.

I thought Leo Gorcey was so so cute. What did I know I was about 10.When they were showing the movies o n TV. Very early TV.

Scatman Crothers started out as a band leader in Akron, Ohio and performed on radio, as well. He had a career in movies spanning 1950-1987. He might be best known for his role as Dick Hallorann beside Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall in "The Shining".

He was great in The Shining (1980) in a very important role. His character had a shocking end...

I'd forgotten he was in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975).
