did you meet her half way for a special Purewell handshake??You are invisible when you get old.
I was trying to cross the road earlier, close to a rather busy roundabout. I stood quietly on the pavement waiting for either a gap in the traffic or some kind person to let me cross.
I must have waited several minutes without any success until a young lady appeared on the other side of the road, short skirt, tight blouse.
Talk about a miracle, it was just like The Red Sea parting to let the Israelites cross to the promised land!
I wouldn't say I have lost my mind, it's just that my last two brain cells are currently throwing rocks at each other. I'm sure once the dispute is settled, a peace accord will be agreed on, and hopefully a little teamwork will become the new norm.My observation?

I more often threw proverbial rocks at myself, arguing with myself ad nauseum as a teen and 20s. By 30s Brain and 'heart' (because it was really the issue of knowing intellectually does not always bring emotional acceptance or understanding of a concept or an event in our lives) could co-operate better with each other.I wouldn't say I have lost my mind, it's just that my last two brain cells are currently throwing rocks at each other. Agreed. Feelings don't always line up with head knowledge. It isn't the data: It's how we interpret the data, and often that can be so biased.I more often threw proverbial rocks at myself, arguing with myself ad nauseum as a teen and 20s. "It's just a restless spirit that results from having too many choices which are the thief of happiness."I believe that you get out of life what you put into it, and that applies to marriage, children, work, friendships, your body, dinner, and practically everything else. If you want to have a quality life, don't cram it full of nonsense. Put time, effort, and thought into what you're doing and learn to disregard the temptation that you are missing out on something else. It's just a restless spirit that results from having too many choices which are the thief of happiness.
good I wish someone had drummed that into me as a young fella. - just counting costs now!!At the end of the school year, I’d give my kids a talk. I wrote the title on the board. The choices you make determine the life you lead.
