Oceanside between Los Angeles and San Diego

Just relaxing and wonderful. The nearby Tip Top Meat Market in Carlsbad is the only place we know of where you can buy Venison in SoCal. The Prince of Peace Abbey has its origin at the Einsiedeln Abbey in Switzerland. Oceanside is only 1+ hour driving from home, and we go frequently. I used to work in Oceanside at an interior design firm. Lived in San Diego at the time so it was a long daily commute.

Back in the 60s I remember a billboard as you entered town, in big letters: "Tan Your Hide in Oceanside". Haven't seen the sign in years, but I haven't been to Oceanside much either.
