Oh, God! Why are you reading this?

One of the nice things about being retired is I don't have to do a damn thing. Today is one of those days. I got up at 6:30 AM and it's almost 10AM. I haven't even had breakfast yet. I could be doing a whole bunch of stuff, but there's tomorrow. And the planet won't explode if I give it 1 more day. I've been mowing the lawn, shopping, etc, etc,. and my batteries are low- in fact my batteries are shot. Doing nothing is about as much as I can handle.
BTW. Harold, the turkey is walking around in the backyard. I haven't seen him (her?) in months, but for a long time I never realized he was living in a tree on my lot, either.

Still have to get some new pants. I can't wear a belt. Wearing a belt sets off the nerves in my back, which leads to lots of pain. The most I can tolerate is an elastic band. Everything I Iooked at had a 'slim fit' or were 'skinny leg', The problem is my body doesn't come in "slim fit" and definitely doesn't have skinny legs. I'm not a 20 something looking to score big with the chicks, I'm a geezer looking for the nearest Men's room. And the prices were ridiculous $60-90 , but there were all kinds of sales gimmicks. -Buy one, half off another, etc. More off with store coupons.
Going to try some other stores.
BTW, for the last two days, it's been like Noah's Ark around here. I don't know why but there's all kinds of critters walking around in my yard.

Yup, there's a brand new deer running around. Mom keeps sitting at the edge on my lawn, so the faun is in the bushes. I think that's where she was born. Deer give birth in late May, so it's just a few weeks old. It's been running around. But it's fast, agile and can turn on dime.
You know you're retired when you know the family tree of the area
deer.
BTW, my plant is still alive and growing. Everyday, I check it out. I'm beginning to see why people have gardens.

Try men’s elastic waist chinos, you can wear a loose belt for show.

I stayed up till 4 AM watching YouTube "shorts". I've been trying to go to bed around 11-12 PM. I'm a night owl. Got to admit that's pretty tame stuff, when I used to drag my drunken body home at 4AM. For some strange reason, that reminded me of the disco scene in 1970s NYC. The bars closed at 2 AM. But before they closed , they would announce where there was an illegal "after hours" bar. It was always on the second floor of a factory building. It was a couple of sawhorses and a long board. You only got beer in cans, the booze in open fifth bottles was questionable. I remember being danced out and quite drunk, and opening the door to crawl home. And the 8AM sun blinding me.
Oh god, those were the good old days.

Apparently, "skinny pants" are the "IN" fashion. Everything seems to be "slim fit", or "tapered". Shopping for clothes feels like going to Abercrombie & Fitch to buy long johns.
I still have to call my trash company to get my bill straightened out. It's not exactly a world class organization. I've dealt with them before. I have 'autopay' so that's really hard to screw up, but they keep trying.
I figured this out. For every 15 years of life, you acquire at least one doctor. So age 50= 3 MDs, 80= 5 MDs. etc.

I had to get a refill script from my MD. I was on the phone ving my info to the prescription person, and she asked what pharmacy I used. I said my local Rite Aid. She said, they were on the list for closing today. That was strange I was there last night @8PM, and there was no sign or anything that they were closing. So, I called Rite Aid and yup they're closing Monday. So I had to switch to CVS.
The woman at the DR's office says there's a huge list of store closures.

It was 4:08 PM, and I could not remember if I took my 4 meds. I did. I'm not forgetting to take my meds, I can't remember taking them. I take a bunch of meds 6 times a day, plus meds before I eat breakfast and dinner. That's at least 25 years of taking meds when I'm supposed to. I don't miss any. Yet, I can't remember 2 minutes after taking them IF I took them. I have to check my pill box thing. Somehow, you'd think you could remember what you did 2 minutes ago. This memory lapse only happens with meds.
This confirms my scientific discovery-people are weird.

I did a stupid thing yesterday. I was tired of having a bunch of remotes in my hand- one for my sound system, two DVDs, and one for the cable TV. So, I got this all- in -one remote. Things did not go as planned. Somehow, I disabled the TV remote and screwed up the cable TV box. No TV. To get back online with the TV, I have to use my Wi-Fi password, but It's rejected. The thing is I'm now on my tablet, which is using my Wi-Fi with THAT password. I have to call to get me out of this. I just know this is going to cost me.
Might as well get my Hindu to English book out now.
