Oh, God! Why are you reading this?

One of the reasons I don't want to clean out my shed is I'm not sure something isn't going to run out. There's lots of cobwebs, and old stuff I forgot I had. Some of it hasn't been touched in decades. How do I know that's not something's happy home? And that 'something' could be really tee-ed off that I'm messing with it? Going through some of the shelves, I found all kinds of goodies I forgot about. There's all kinds of camping gear. At one time, I was deluded into believing sleeping on the ground was a fun thing. Today, my idea of roughing it is setting the air conditioner on "low". I found a bunch of tiki torches. There's nothing that screams "safety' like open flames on a wooded lot.

My shed is full of junk, if I remember well. There are lawn care things but now have a hired lawnmower person. There is a cart with wheels I used to use when shopping in town, another garbage can and things I cannot see when opening the door.

I finally decided to see a cardiologist. It's not bad, but my heart doesn't like to beat all the time. It took me 3 months to get an appointment, which was yesterday.
And, Idiot got the time messed up. The appt. was for 11 AM, for some unknown reason I was sure it was for 1PM. I have all kinds of reminders that it was 11 not 1, and nope, I never looked at them. So, I missed the appt., now it's on for October 1.
I'm beginning the wonder if I should get the brain checked out rather than my heart.

BTW My neighbors shot off a lot of fireworks celebrating the US holiday-the 4th of July. Last night, they celebrated Tuesday.

About 40 years ago, I somehow got possession of this green "depression" candy dish. I didn't know what "depression ware" was, but people all told me the dish would be really valuable in later years. So, for 40 years I've been saving it, and keeping harm away from it. Now, the dish is in the way. It's not worth $thousands, or even $100s.
I was thinking of donating to Goodwill, but I'm not sure they'd take it.

There are different kinds of depression glass. (i.e. some actually had uranium) What a piece is worth is determined by a few different factors. And unless I'm totally mistaken, I do believe that's an ashtray you have there, and not a candy dish. (Yes, I just checked some places and while many sellers are calling it a candy dish, some recognize it as an ashtray.)

Oh, hell, it is an ashtray. Hundreds of millions gave up smoking in the last 40 years, and I've been saving an ashtray to help fund my retirement!!!!!!!!

Goodwill would be delighted

Yup, it's a uranium green depression ware ashtray. I'm not too happy having a uranium dish sitting in my kitchen for the last 40 years. I don't remember how I got it, 40 years ago; but everybody said it would be so valuable in the future. I checked eBay and they are selling for a whopping $37 (shipping extra).
