Okay, I admit it, I am a wimp,

I didn't see anyone mention a down comforter. I have a King sized one for my queen bed, and I use it all year round. Summer it is cool but in winter it is so warm! The deal is to get at least a 600 fill rate for it to keep you warm and also I need it to be all cotton and real feathers.

I got a cheap $15 comforter at Walmart a few years ago and use that through the winters, sometimes with one
or two blankets under it depending on the temperature, which sometimes gets as low as 52 degrees in the house.
Sometimes I'll wear a pair of socks to bed when my feet are cold, then take the socks off when my feet get warmer.

I'm a wimp in some regards. I hate spiders. I can't kill anything these days. I make an exception for mosquitos. Essentially anything that attacks me is fair game, but spiders, moths, and the like - I won't kill them. I tend to rehouse them.

I just now ordered a new electric blankey from Amazon, may even get
it today....just cannot take the cold any more, my prior blanket got pitched
last year due to long use, getting thinner etc.....so I'm a wimp.......but at
least I'll sleep warm!!!!

Brilliant idea. I have a small electric blanket which I use for warming my back during day or night. It saves on using the heating and is so cosy. I can't stand being cold.

I have always used afghans my mother crocheted. They are very warm and I have several. Too early in the year for me to use any of them. Has to be really cold for me to use one.

I'm the opposite, it has to be freeeeezing.. for me to feel the cold...which is a good thing given the high cost of our electricity and gas heating

Ditto. Which is evidenced by central A/C through the whole house, but in the bedroom, I have a separate portable A/C, a ceiling fan, and a tower fan that runs 24/7. I am soooooooo ready for an end to the hot weather. We're still in the 90s during the day, with an occasional dip into the 80s. Brutal for late September.

Call me a wimp in the opposite direction. I'm good with that.

If you're a wimp, Hawkie, then so am I. I've been gathering up my fuzzy socks, warm slippers, soft jammies, jogging pants & sweatshirts, and making sure the space heaters are in good working order. After the fiasco with losing power for 18 hours last winter, I'm also ready with the new propane heater and canisters for it. I may not have electricity, but I won't freeze!

Welp, that blanket arrived abt 730pm and I had it on the
bed in 30mins...LOL....and it felt real good last nite....also I
wimped out even more and turned on furnace this morn as
it was only 50F temp to start the day...took the chill out of
the house.//////yay......
