Okay, What's with This "Annabelle" Doll?!

I don't have an interest in the paranormal. At all. Never did. BUT I just saw this news story, and I absolutely love Gettysburg with a passion and visit as often as is humanly possible for me, so it caught my attention. Yes, I've had a few... uh... "creepy things happen" but the person I am tries desperately to find an explanation for them... if I can't, I work on forgetting/blocking.

So anyhow, what's with the "Annabelle doll?" Anyone hear other stories like this about it?

Paranormal investigator dies suddenly after hosting ‘Annabelle’ doll tour — Gettysburg, Adams County, PA

Dan Rivera, 54, a lead paranormal educator for the New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR), passed away suddenly after hosting the “Annabelle” doll tour in Gettysburg.

Rivera had just participated in the “Devils on the Run Tour” from July 11–13, where the infamous haunted doll from the Warren’s Occult Museum in Connecticut was brought to the Soldiers Orphanage Homestead.

Rivera helped lead a four-hour ghost hunt in Gettysburg, including stops at the Jennie Wade House and the Haunted Orphanage.

I had heard of it a while back.

Personally, I don't buy into this sort of stuff as it seems to be a phenomenon that is
pretty much wholly given to us by a particular group of people types who I just don't
find credible... not even a little.

But it has made for good entertainment for me over the years.
 

That was weird.

I do believe in the possibility of such things and avoid battlefields and/or places loaded with those dead by violence, except for my local cemetery where all of my loved ones are buried. I do go there and spend time whenever I can and pretty up the graves with flowers and other decorations appropriate for specific holidays. If there is any cosmic consciousness there amongst the dead, I think I am recognized by now as a friendly spirit who who would never do any harm.
 
I have never given any credit to the Warrens. I have always thought they were phonies. That's just my opinion. John Edward is a real phony and he pisses me off.

I will say that there is a spirit world, good or bad and that true evil can emerge from the source.
I am a medium and an empath and I do see and talk with spirits. It started when I was about 9 yrs old and has continued all throughout my life. I am not afraid of the dead but having been shown a demon, I will tell anyone that the world we cannot see is real and not to be scoffed at. I have solved one murder case in western NYS using this gift and a couple of yrs ago I helped the NYS police find the abducted 9 yr old girl in Saratoga Springs.
This ability is a gift and I take it very seriously. For anyone who is a non believer, I hope you stay safe and well. And please stay away from Ouija boards and other entertainment that claims to contact the non living. Pure trouble waiting to happen.

Could you give an example that you've witnessed of true evil emerging from a spirit or spirit world?
