Old Appalachian Folk Songs

@IrishEyes Here is 1 1/2 hours of her music. Well worth watching and listening.

She is the real deal and not only sings in the old style Black Appalachian, but plays all the instruments that were used back then. She brought the fretless banjo back that was invented by African slaves.
You have to admire that, nothing like making it as original as it can be for the real deal feel of the emotions that went into that music.

This is the kind of music I grew up with. One of my Choctaw Great Uncles was a great fiddle player and did all the old tunes.

Dang it Deya, I sat and watched it all, 2 minutes into it I cast it to my big screen and let it roll. I had taken violin lessons
years ago and the teacher had to fight me to "Keep my bow level"
I noticed how she kept turning hers side to side and it hit me, I should have been taking Fiddle lessons not violin because that want/need to play the bow differently was probably instilled in me from previous generations.
So not only was it amazing to watch and hear her, it was confirmed, you can't fight genetics and be happy with the results you will be getting.
Well, starting my day late was well worth the delay, I thoroughly enjoyed that and I will probably be looking her up to see if I can ever
get near one of her performances. She is pure Diamonds!đź’Žđź’Žđź’Ž

1st met her playing with the Carolina Chocolate Drops...
Watching this and thinking them in an empty room, no digital help and that talent outshines so many
who have all the latest equipment backing them up. Can you imagine this if done in a recording studio?
Thanks for posting this old medic I love it! Typing this as I watch it and the Brigg's Corn Shucking Reel...
Brilliant! That brought a big smile from me right off.
