Old bed pillows

Cleaning my closet.
Am I the only one that keeps old bed pillows.

I saved some to stuff other pillows with,, that hasn't happened.

A habit that I got from watching old feather tick pillows being reused.

It is hubby's pillow that always is packed down in the middle .
Had thought of stuffing a pillow for him ,,one that wouldn't all pushed in from sleeping on it.

Does Goodwill take used pillows?

Thanks, all that replied.
I use a bed pillow in Mac's kennel in the winter.
A thin pad I got from farm store for Summer.

The idea of stuffed figures sound s like a fun way to use them.
At local antique store I've seen figures that look homemade.
Fabric looks like its old,, don't think it is.

Guess I'll look online for patterns.

Last year we had quite the turnover, I was buying three or four at a time. Our little dachshund had acquired a type of incontinence where her bladder would release after falling asleep. She was usually on one of our pillows at the time. I told our vet and he started her on a tiny little estrogen pill and the problem is gone. :)

I tried to wash a couple of fiber-fill pillows in the washing machine once. One of them popped a seam and almost destroyed my washer. What a mess scooping all that mess out of there. I had to keep draining the washer into a bucket so that the fibers didn't get into the pipes and clog them.

I donate old towels to our local animal services location, but they won't take pillows of any kind. They say the dogs tear them open, shred them, and they don't want then ingesting the contents (or having to clean up the mess).

Our shelter gives them to the cats.
