old games we played as a child !

Red Rover Red Rover,Freeze Tag,Kick Ball,Flashlight Tag,Hand Clap,Skip rope,Old Maid,but the best was Rubber Band wars...😁

Take a giant step, baby dolls I had the crib high chair and bottles, barbies, play school mom set us up with a blackboard in the basement for that game, dance party, we set up a stage and had kiddie go-go boots and would pretend we were at a discotheque, endless fun...😃

Hopscotch, Sling shot, Kick Ball, and Double Dutch Jump Rope.

Anyone else remember playing Double Dutch Jump Rope? That was fun.

Basically, Double Dutch is a rope skipping exercise played when two ropes are turned in eggbeater fashion. While the ropes are turned, a third person jumps within.
Loved skipping Double Dutch.
I was really lucky to have had lots of girl friends in the neighbourhood who loved this type of stuff.

Our neighbourhood had kids playing outside until the sun set. Even in the winter we skated and built snowmen and snow forts.

We played at each other’s houses all the time.
It was mega fun.

One Bounce. Boys stood in a circle and passed a soccer ball from one to another.....but only by touching it with our feet or our head. And the ball couldn't bounce on the ground more than once or you were out. The game could be friendly and easy or it could be a test of aggressive skill.
This was in a British colony so we called the ball a football.

As I recall, the street was the only paved place large enough to play Double Dutch. Ropes tangled to easily to play with short ropes and my crowd always had to have room for a second person to jump in with you.

Playing house, as did my own children.

Do kids even play house anymore?

When I was younger, neighbourhood kids had pretend appliances, we'd smoke our candy cigarettes, serve imaginary tea, dress up in crinolines, and role play every possible scenario our minds could think up.
