Hi, all! Just signed up here after trying to determine whether Cenegenics was a scam or not. Sure sounds like they know how to separate bucks from your wallet, but I have found I can do that almost without any help.

I just turned 70 and realized that I am now officially an "old geezer" wannabe. Or mebbe a geezer curmudgen. Whatever, I am also now a newly re-licensed amateur radio (extra class) operator, call sign AC8NS. My previous Novice license expired in 1967 and last year I decided to test for Technician, General and Extra. Passed all three in one sitting, so I guess there are a few brain cells still connecting.

I happen to be "antenna challenged" by a very small city lot with tower height restrictions, but I suspect that many seniors here are in the same boat. My wife (XYL in ham lingo) wasn't too happy when I purchased an Elecraft KX3 rig to go along with the new ham radio ticket, but I rewarded her with a Macbook Air and an iPad and other Apple goodies, so we are good... I think.:D

Are you being called sweetie by waitresses yet? That's when you will know that you are officially a geezer...

Thanks to all who welcomed me here! I have been passing the "waitress geezer test" for quite some time now, but I thought they were just angling for a larger tip. <sigh> Hop
