Oldest person in the United States turns 115 in Iowa

An Iowa woman who was verified as the oldest living person in the United States earlier this year celebrated her 115th birthday.

Bessie Hendricks celebrated her 115th birthday with a party at Shady Oaks Care Center, where she lives in Lake City.

It appears Bessie is not only the oldest living American, but the fourth oldest in the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_oldest_living_people

Just noticed we no longer have any living people born in the 1800s, that probably happened a few years back...

Who wants to be the oldest person? If you're the oldest person in the world: let's face it, after today, your day planner is really "iffy". It may be nice to live long enough to get that title, but once you get it............
