OMG -what happened to a genuine size .

It must be true. In my 20's when I weighted 98 pounds, I wore a size 0 jeans. Now that I'm 10 pounds heavier I still wear a size 0 Jeans. But something to consider is the fabric the garment is made from. 100% cotton is going to be tighter than cotton mixed with stretchy fabric such as lycra, polyester, spandex, etc. That may very well be the reason for the perceived differences between jeans of the same size.

Hmm... I've been a waist size 32-34 from the time I hit 15. I have never noticed any differences in those sizes over the last 50+ years. Interesting. Now that I think of it, I bought a pair of off-brand 34 jeans, last year. I put them on, at home, and they fell to the floor. What? I measured them, and they were 38! OK, so maybe things have gotten weird, for some manufacturers. My Levi's are still on the money, though.

That's why I buy mainly from QVC. They have a couple of brands that suit me perfectly. I really like the Susan Graver and Denim & Company brands. They have a size chart that helps. I am still wearing a lot of the dress clothes I wore when working. I bought basic pants and tops in shades of black, brown and gray. I could mix and match tops with those basic colors.

I bought myself a new leather belt a couple of
weeks ago and the buckle is on a strong pice
of elastic, this I find is better than all leather and
it fits comfortably.

Mike.

I use the military style canvas web belt.

Cheap, durable, and micro-adjustable.

Men's shirts sizes have no standards so you have to try them on to see if they fit.
