One billion.reasons to love Scottie tissues...

Um, the paper companies own huge swaths of forest land in northern Maine (and elsewhere). On a rotating basis they clear cut areas for use in paper production and then replant with more fast growing soft wood conifers. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

The claim is neither surprising nor altruistic. :rolleyes:
 
Eighty percent of the deforestation in the Amazon is done to pasture millions of cows.

Then they kill them and eat them.
