"One in 10 Brits ‘do a King Charles’ and talk to houseplants – with fifth of millennials even naming them."

"The habit of chatting to plants is something younger generations are more likely to do, with one in five (19%) claiming to do so – compared to just 10% of those aged 55 and over."

Erm - I talk to my houseplants - not everyday, but if I nudge them by mistake as I'm passing I automatically say 'sorry'. 😁
And, if they have little plantlets or babies as I call them, I find myself saying 'aaah, hello' in a tone of voice much like I'm talking to a pet or baby 🤣

Talking to plants is a great idea. They seem to thrive when you do it and I have named a few of them that were special. Why ever not?

I've often wondered whether people who talk to their houseplants might not also pay more attention to "little things" . . . like WATERING THEM OCCASIONALLY.

I've known people who swear they don't have a "green thumb". Given a virtually indestructible variety of plant, they'll somehow manage to kill it within a month. Um, I wonder why.
