One of the meal client's home is for sale

Yesterday when I stopped, a "FOR SALE" sign was out. When she came to the door, I inquired. She said she's moving in June, so it looks like there will be one less stop. But it seems when one gets dropped from the route, 1 or 2 others are added. It looks like a well-maintained house and grounds. The price is over $500K, but being near Saratoga Lake, property values are likely higher than in other places around here.

I think it is way overpriced. The best thing in its favor is that it is a young house. Otherwise, not worth that amount IMO. Too small. Not enough land.

That's what I was thinking, too... more than half a million?! That size home would be half that cost in my area. Then I wondered if it may be near The Hamptons, but nope, 4.5 hours away.

Wouldn’t you love to see what they did with that wet basement.
I do know - nothing. I went to the open house and, curious myself what happened down there, when I asked to see the cellar, the agent said "What do you want to see that for?" She couldn't refuse to let me see it and it looked just the same as when I left. I had to use the back porch stairs because they renovated over the cellar door in the former kitchen. They spent a lot of time and money renovating the living areas, though.

I theorize that the cost of fixing the foundation was more than they wanted to invest. However, if I saw a cellar like that, it would be a deal killer for me.

Yes, I am... wanna go halfsies on the house? We can have SF dinner parties. :giggle: @Pepper
No. I was just lamenting that so many of you live not far from me, and I can do nothing! I was an adventurer and was planning a cross-country trip long ago to visit with all my friends from a particular forum I belonged to. Then, got cancer, ended up without my car and my big bucks.

Believe me, if I still had my car & was in good health I would be asking many of you if you were up for a visit. Distance no problem, loved to drive, loved motels & local restaurants. Loved travel.

I like the house, I think it's beautiful inside.. and it's very cheap compared to similar here.. a house like that would cost around £1 million or more here.... however, I don't like the outside due to the lack of privacy... wonder why that has no privacy...

It's a beautiful home! Drawback is the size of the lot, neighbors on top of each other and it's in HOA.

I think this one is a little misleading. It is actually smaller and older than the one Deb linked. Beautiful house and lot, but we don't get any interior photos. With what we know, I would take that clean little gray house. Also Deb would be bringing me food every day.
There are 44 pictures. Beautiful inside and out.

Aha. I didn't see them before I was expecting an arrow on the big picture. Yes it is nice. I like the reddish brown floor in the downstairs.
