Online Dating and all its problems

You are not wrong. (y)

I assume you did not go on a dating site just to find someone to chat to; the guy's a waster. (n)

The fact about dating sites is "you're gonna kiss a lot of frogs before you ever meet your Prince Charming."

Of course you did the right thing. For you anyway, this wasn't leading anywhere.
Towards the end of the conversation, he said he was in an intimate relationship with someone - he actually breezed past it pretty quickly and then moved on to other subjects. At the end of the call he said he'd like to talk again because, well - we really have similar interests. But.... after thinking about it, I decided I couldn't go forward with any more calls unless his girlfriend knew and was okay with our discussions and I sent him a message letting him know how I felt.
In his defense he was honest with you (I think) and some people are in nonexclusive relationships - can have more than one intimate relationship at a time. But that doesn't sound like what you are looking for, many people aren't. So yeah, I think you did the right thing.
