Online Shopping Rant

Okay, so Huzz gave me for Christmas a gift card to Barnes & Noble. So I plunk down at the computer today to have a good ol' time shopping with the card; gonna have the stuff shipped to me. One of the dvds I wanted is out of stock, they don't know when they'll have it again, okay that happens, life goes on; so I want to add to the order a wall calendar. The calendar needs to be at least 10" wide by 16 inches long (or high, when opened) but no more than 12" wide by 18" long since I can't fit anything bigger than that where it goes but I want it at least 10x16 so I can, you know, see the darn thing. Well, guess what: Barnes & Noble doesn't list the sizes of hardly any of their calendars online! What?! I even tried opening another window to the Amazon site so I can see if they sell any of the same cal's B&N does since Amazon is usually pretty good about listing sizes. But no, Amazon doesn't list any of the B&N calendars, because you know, of course not. So you lost a calendar sale, B&N.

Thanks for listening; something silly to rant about, I know, this makes me a member of a large club, but boy doesn't it get frustrating sometimes or what?

I think what used to make me mad and still does is that the things that should be in the store and easily accessible (we're talking pre-pandemic so don't even bother telling me about shortages)...are non-existent. I have to shop online if I want a damn belt for my pants. Wal-mart here has one little corner that has a few belts. That's it. Not anything in my size of course. I swear to God I think all women must be the same size as me because they never have my pant size or my underwear size or my bra size in store. I gotta go online if I want that. Judas Priest already!

If there's a B&N near you, you can call on the phone and ask a salesperson to give you the sizes of a particular calendar before you order....that's what I would try to do. Good luck!

For some reason, I have NEVER had a good online shopping experience at Barnes and Noble. I had a gift card and I gave it to my sister because I was in danger of losing my mind entirely trying to deal with what they advertised but didn't have. If something is advertised as being on sale, shouldn't they have it?

Kind of funny that a 99cent store I go to get masking tape & packing tape has that size in a variety of themes. I chose National parks.

Glad you posted this; I'm going to check both the 99cent and Dollar Tree stores tomorrow; don't know why I forget about them because every time I've gone into one, I've found what I was looking for. :)

In the pre-pandemic days and before many malls went belly-up, I'd go to mall kiosk stores that sprang up before Xmas to get calendars at half-off the day after Xmas. Oh, the things we've lost! 😿
