Online shopping

It's difficult for me to wander through our two small-town department stores to find what I want. I find it much easier to shop online while sitting in my living room. I'm very careful about which online stores I shop at. Most of my shopping is on Amazon because I can trust them and they seem to have everything.

One poster today on Seniors is looking for sweets for diabetics. I just found some on Amazon
recently. It was a 10 pack of Smart Sweets sweetened with Stevia, a plant-based sweetener with no calories. I quite like them! Today I ordered a rug runner from a huge selection.

Online Shopping will become the "norm", more and more, as people figure out that they can buy most things cheaper, online, than they can at many of the stores. Small businesses are at the greatest risk. Eventually, only the largest retailers, such as Walmart, and local grocery stores, may be the only stores left. I can see the day when most of the huge "shopping centers" are converted into apartments.

When you factor in all the expenses a store has to pay....employees, utilities, property taxes, insurance, etc.,etc.....all of which are passed along to the consumer, waiting a few days for a shipment to arrive, and paying a small shipping fee, is substantially less, for many items.

I order clothes from QVC when needed which is not often. They have a brand that suits me perfectly and returns are so easy as they send a label to return anything except food items as they will tell you to keep them. I also order groceries from Walmart which is easy and use Amazon a lot.
