Opinions of UK Royal Family

On principle I don't like royalty because I feel they live privileged lives at their subjects' expense. There's got to be a better way. I agree and hope America never reverts to a monarchy. I don't think it would be a monarchy in exact words but in essence, maybe.
There are worse things than monarchies.

The problems for the RF regarding Duke of Sussex is he cannot be trusted after his accounts in 'Spare' which was just vindictive. When they left most people supported their decision, expecting to hear very little about them as they settled down to life in California. They have everything they wanted but nothing they need. They need the connection to RF as they become increasingly isolated. The media just will not let go and make it unlikely for a reconciliation.

King Charles, do you know he could do well to see what happened to a previous King Charles. For many the treatment of Diana was too bitter a pill to swallow and as for the King's current wife only the most ardent monarchists have anything positive to say about her. Whereas Katherine, Charles' daughter-in-law has more or less healed that rift, but at what a cost to her own health.
I am not sure that is still true. Camilla supports many charities and she is very active in her support of charities for the elderly. I know several people who are or have been members of local senior clubs and they only have good things to say about her.

Opinion #1... A lot more people on the planet need some of Catherine's poise and class.
Opinion #2... We would be ever so grateful if you guys would take Harry back. Along with his wife. Is that too much to ask??!! 😁
#2: Better make an exchange. Take Harry and Meghan back and send William and his wife to the U.S. :ROFLMAO:.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester

Prince Edward of Kent

Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy

Lesser known but have all been working royals most of their lives.

Princess Anne made the right decision not to give her son and daughter HRH title and they have been left to plough their own furrow.
...and become more wealthy than most of the rest of the royal family, because of it. They were allowed to take sponsorships and work in advertising etc... whereas they couldn't have done that if they had taken the titles of Prince and Princess....further they can pretty much live their lives as they please without asking for permission...

alll very old.. and once they've gone, it'll be interesting to see who Charles replaces them with given that he's already removed the rest of the cousins etc from the inner sanctum

I really don't think much of them one way or the other. This is a crazy election year in the U.S. and I've got plenty to think about with our own politicians and government.

Will say though, I don't like Harry and Mehgan (Megan?)
our Royal Family are not rulers.. they don't get to rule the country in the sense of politicians. By and large they're figureheads.. altho' a little more complicated than that..but they don't rule the country...

The only one I ever paid any attention to was Princess Diana. Now my favorite is Meghan Markle. An American in British royalty! I love it!!!
Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, although divorced from Prince Andrew has managed to keep in favour with Charles. Came in from the cold after Prince Philip passed.

errrm.. I;m not so sure about that..... she's a schemer, a liar, and manipulator.. and anyone that wants to continue to live rent free in their paedophile ex husbands home is majorly suspect..

I think if Charles would have done the "right" thing and married some horsey member of the nobility who knew what her "duty" was...to produce an heir and a spare, open orphanages, visit hospitals, dress nicely but not spectacularly, and turn a blind eye to his philandering....the status quo would still be there today.

Instead, he found a sweet young girl and she was thrown head-first into the royal life without a life preserver. That she did what I consider a good job for as long as she did was miraculous.

I think if Chuck and the Royal Rottweiler had been allowed to marry back in the day, a lot of lives would have better.

Absolutely agree... however what most people don't realise is that generally the RF ..British or otherwise, have done this for centuries. They marry the most suitable to bear their heirs, and that same suitable wife, turns a blind eye to all the affairs..and has a nice life..

Diana was so young, she wasn't going to accept that... and kicked up a stink.. and that's where the problem lay... because it was expected as she was born on the Sandringham Estate and raised within the parameters of the Royal family..Dianas father was Equerry to King George Vl, and the Queen mother. Her grandmother was The Queen Mothers' chief lady in waiting and best friend... so it was thought Diana would be the ideal breeding stock.. the fact is she knew the rules even at age 20... when she married.. Charles at 32 years old at the time.

What the palace didn't bargain for was the huge popularity of Diana with the public, and she realised that she didn't have to live turning a blind eye to her husbands' philandering...
