Orange horizontal lines across top of my screen?

They might last 15 seconds, sometimes when I am trying to sign
in, other times when I click on a members profile, sort of a mix,
does not happen often, but does occur...

What does this indicate?

I think it is just an animation that shows that it is loading something you click on, like alerts.

I think it's just having trouble loading your request. It does it sometimes when I "like" something. Maybe internet is running slow.
