Our Anniversary

No, not that one, that took us another six months.

First date anniversary, 1960, Christmas Dinner/Dance, Headland Hotel, Newquay Cornwall, £9.00 per couple (nearly two weeks pay!), drinks extra, 7.30 for 8.00, carriages 11.30.

Married six months later so I guess my £9 was a good investment!

The ladies usually find it romantic (I also still have the first Valentine card, addressed to "The Blonde Hunk"!), the men berate me for making a rod for their backs!
