This seems to be a beginning of the repeat of the late 70's and early to mid 80's. Cash is King...get your cash ready to stock up on CDs...lol. At the height of that inflationary time, the interest paid was over 17%!

The problem isn't that "no one can afford to live on the board any more." It's that only the wealthy can afford to live on the board, and the housing shortage caused the prices to skyrocket. If there were empty hotels, the price of rooms would decrease and become more affordable. It's simple supply and demand economics.
