Out sourcing and things I wonder

it bothers me that jobs are out sourced. AT&T uses people in the Philippines to take down all a persons personal information. Lots of other companies doing the same with these kinds of jobs being sent everywhere.

It did get me wondering if a foreign power could gather up all of this personal information and put it to use creating chaos in the economy one day. I know we have identity thieves & so on in America. I'm wondering though what might be done in the future by some nasty power that has gathered up a lot of peoples personal information.
 

I don't know about those dangers honestly, but outsourcing jobs is extremely upsetting to me. Many of my companies jobs have been sent offshore, leaving our American co workers adrift. It just infuriates me!

All the politicians yammer about creating jobs but do nothing to stop our jobs from ending and given to workers in other countries who work for much less money and without employer contribution to their health care.
 
It isn't just US companies that do this. The UK does as well and it angers me!
 

My sister (in US) will not buy anything that does not say Made in US. She finds it very difficult. I get harassed by relatives when I buy clothing there (I like to buy clothes in the US) and it is not made in the US, which is rarely is.
 
This is a global economy and we have to get used to it and accept it. I buy my blood pressure meds on line without a prescription. The call center is in the Philippines and the pills come from the Netherlands...

It bothers me too Blunderwoman and you can bet foreign powers are already gattering this personal information and will use it as they see the advantage of doing so. I hate to see our jobs going out of America too but the owners of those businesses have alot of responsibility for this just as our govenment does...there is alot of greed all around us these days. What will be done in the future by the powers that are all trying to gain control of everything is going to be terrible and I for one...hope I am not on this earth to live through those days.
 
I can hardly remember buying anything in recent times that said, "Made in U.S.A." I do think L.L. Bean's clothing is all American-made, but it's getting harder and harder to find.
