Over Or Under With The Paper Roll / Toilet Paper--Which do you prefer?

I have always gone with over after reading 50 years ago a article by Dr. Benjamin Dovorak & Dr. Klingwald Meyer that said that many people that preferred hanging their toilet tissue under suffered from chronic flatulence, insomnia and Erectile Dysfunction.

Over. Years ago when I had kittens in the house I was purposely putting it under because I hear stories about cats unrolling TP and making a mess. But realized that it never happened with my cats, and never had a problem with my cat now, so over it is.

We had a cat whom thought it was her duty to unroll the paper on the bathroom floor, discovered that if I set it to unroll under all that got damaged was the top few layers. I really have no preference now with our more docile cat, but since my military days I insist on the softer brands for comfort.

Over. Its easier to reach and tear off and you aren't constantly rubbing your hand against the wall. Oddly, although I am not left handed myself, I can kind of sense why under may be handier for them.

Approximately 50% of the time the roll is installed "over", the remaining percentage of times the rolls gets installed "under". The numbers could vary, these stats collected after only x number of trials.

Over and even in public places I'll fix it...Sea, that cat was my Delilah as a kitten, RIP but the bathroom door was securely shut for years

I prefer "over." I discovered at the end of my previous marriage that my (ex) wife preferred under. But she never indicated that fact till our final days together.

We have a free standing holder, which is very convenient for Rocco, one of my daughters chihuahua pups to steal the roll several times a day. Always with the inevitable trail to where he's hiding with it.

Exactly my thoughts. Over the years I have lived with different people and discovered that the Lefty theory checks out. I currently live in a household with 5 other people. (all right handed) The ones that can bother to change the roll always do the over.

Wouldn't the left/righty theory depend on which side the paper holder is on?
Not really I have lived in houses with left and/or right side holders. Still use the under. To me the logic is the end of paper hangs down and is easier to unwind.
