Starting in early 2023, the library app for downloading material from your local library will switch from Overdrive to Libby.
Libby is owned by the Overdrive people, so it's more of an upgrade than a new service.

I downloaded Libby to my devices and it works about the same.
Written books can still be linked to Kindle format.

Still have Hoopla for items that they offer from the library.

Just a heads up for those who use the service like me.

I have had both, but usually have used overdrive. I hadn’t heard about the change, so thank you for the information update. I read all of my Kindle books on my iPad Mini instead of the Kindle now, and I think that it is easier for me to use.
I belong to Kindle Unlimited, since I do a lot of reading , and it is worth the cost to me to have all of the books that I want to read.

I have had overdrive for years, got it from my library,
but I couldn't use it, I never got a book via that one,
instead, I use BorrowBox.

I will try Libby if I can and hope that it is easier than
the overdrive.

Mike.
